Itinerary
SQ876 SIN 0820 –TPE 1310 Airport transfer to Taipei hotel. Set up bikes, Overnight Taipei.
Bike to the scenic Lengshuikeng (Cold Water Pit) hotspring area in Yangmingshan, with a 800m climb. Pass Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area where you can see steam rising from the volcanic fumaroles, and Fantasy Lake (Menghuanhu) at the base of Seven Star Mountain (Mt. Chihsing) and descend via Balaka. Dinner and overnight at Taipei.
Today features a relaxing scenic ride that takes us to Wulai’s aboriginal hotspring county. Our start & end point is Xindian’s Bitan Scenic Area. Wulai is set in a gorge and is home to the aboriginal Atayal tribe. Some of the highlights of this area include the 80m Wulai Falls, cable car to the ecological theme park and a quaint old timbre train, free outdoor hot springs, or indoor springs. Return via the Guangxing bicycle path. Dinner & overnight at Taipei.
Bike along the old Pingxi rail line through the mountains in New Taipei City, passing sleepy little old towns like Pingxi & Shifen with old-fashioned shops selling traditional snacks & memorabilia. Then we gradually ascend 842m through forested roads to the top of Wufenshan for some stunning views. Pack bikes, check out, lunch & airport transfer. SQ879 1745-2215
