Itinerary
Arrive TPE Tauyuan Airport by noon. Transfer to Xincheng, north Hualien county. Check in, assemble bikes. Dinner.
Ride the tranquil valley plains through the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area.
Ride the scenic flat East Rift Valley plains amidst verdant padi fields to Chishang, Taiwan's most famous rice producing region.
Lightly undulating coastal ride along the Pacific Ocean from Chishang to Taitung, our favourite city on Taiwan's east coast.
Bike southwards through valley plains, quiet winding country roads and along the spectacular coastline through rustic villages - with a van transfer over the inland climbs. Arrive at Kenting with its idyllic white sand beaches, mountainous backdrops, and a chill vibe befitting a popular surfing town.
Airport transfer Kenting - Tauyuan for 5pm flight, or later.
