Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Milan, transfer to Bormio

Arrive Milan airport, 3hr transfer to Bormio. Overnight Bormio 4 star hotel.

Day 2
Cancano and the turquoise lakes

A spectacular high-alpine ascent of endless hairpins climbing above the treeline to turquoise reservoir lakes. Take in big mountain views and enjoy the descent on your introduction to classic Italian cycling drama. Visit Roman thermal hot spring baths. Overnight Bormio 4 star hotel.

Day 3
Stelvio from the real side

Half hour transfer to Passo Umbrail. Start descending into Switzerland before making our way back to the Italian side, to tackle the legendary Stelvio climb from its iconic, challenging "real" side before descending the legendary staircase of hairpins into Bormio. Overnight Bormio 4 star hotel.

Day 4
Passo Gavia, then transfer to Arabba

15min transfer to ride the mighty Passo Gavia - a raw and dramatic high-alpine crossing of narrow roads and soaring peaks, followed by an epic descent into Pontedilegno for some local hospitality in Matteo's alpine home village. Then 4hr transfer to Arabba, our base for the remote Dolomites region. Overnight Arabba. 4 star hotel

The Sellaronda
