Highlights include High Atlas Mountain crossing & Sahara Desert traversing on road bikes, a night glamping under the glittering desert sky, an off-road gravel ride & magical Marrakech. Morocco is a vast country. To achieve all this, expect transfers to ride start/end points, and quality cycling in between, on generally excellent roads, with minimal 4-wheel traffic (and some of the 4-legged kind). Some of the transfers can be long, but the scenery is breath-taking & the destinations, well worth the effort.

Itinerary
Arrive Marrakech Airport, transfer, check-into local riad in heart of Marrakech. Build bikes, briefing. Overnight Marrakech.
Ride through dramatic switchbacks and high-altitude climbs across the High Atlas Mountains to 2,260m. Overnight Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed traditional mud bricked city featured in countless films.
Cycle across arid plateaus through the rose-scented Valley of the Kasbahs, with vast desert landscapes flanked by rugged cliffs and hidden oases. Transfer to Boumalne to enjoy the facilities of the resort hotel (pool, jacuzzi & bar) or stroll through the Dadès Gorge.
Road cycling from Boumalne to Zagora descending into the Draa Valley, riding past date palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and sweeping desert plains under an endless sky. Short transfer to glamping site with optional camel ride where we stay in the desert to view the spectacular milky way sans light pollution under the inky night sky.
Ride through sun-soaked valleys and lunar-like desert terrain fringed by the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, then wander the Taourirt Kasbah at sunset. Overnight Ouarzazate film resort studio.
Climb back over the dramatic High Atlas pass, with a glorious sweeping descent on newly paved roads into the lush Haouz plain as you return to the vibrant heart of Marrakesh.
